Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region, Scenic Air Kennels was started in 1979 by Victor Wood. Victor is well known for his great English Redtick male, NITE CH GR CH 'PR' Scenic Air Red Warrior. Warrior was sired by Maggards Hot Shot II. An Oney bred hound, he lived up to his name.
Now Victor has left the coonhunting scene, and his son Josh has continued the tradition of hunting top quality English Coonhounds. We currently have four dogs in our kennel, varying in age from 3 months to 6 years. Our main goal is to promote the English breed at area and nationwide events, and to produce dogs that can be used in any UKC Coonhound event. Our dogs compete in nite hunts, bench shows, water races, and field trials.
We are proud members of our local coon hunting club, Grape Country Coon Hunters Association.
